Alex Budney is the Founder and Managing Member of Mews Property, a New York–based real estate ownership, development, management and advisory platform focused on design-driven and value-add opportunities.
Budney founded Ennismore in 2013, which was rebranded as Mews Property in 2026, and is responsible for the firm’s overall strategy and operations. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in more than $9.5 billion of real estate investments across four continents. In addition to leading Mews Property’s principal investment activities, Budney advises real estate owners and financial institutions on investment strategy, acquisitions, development, and asset management.
Prior to founding Ennismore, Budney served as Vice President of Acquisitions & Capital Markets at Macklowe Properties, where he worked directly with the firm’s Chairman on acquisitions, development, and joint venture initiatives.
Previously, Budney was a Director at Tishman Speyer, working in both the Acquisitions & Development and Equity Capital Markets groups in the firm’s London and New York offices.
He began his real estate investment career as an Analyst at Related Capital Company, part of Related Companies.
Budney holds a BS in Business and Economics from Lehigh University.
